A plant on your desk lowers stress, sharpens focus, and softens the geometry of your screen. The trick is choosing one that survives you, not the other way around.
1. Snake Plant (Sansevieria)
Survives weeks without water. Thrives in low light. Sculptural enough to anchor a desk on its own. The default answer if you’ve killed a plant before.
2. ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia)
Glossy, architectural, almost fake-looking. Water once a fortnight. Tolerates fluorescent office light.
3. Pothos
The trailing one. Drape it off the edge of a shelf or desk for softness. Cuttings root in water — one plant becomes ten in a year.
4. Succulents (mixed)
A small dish of three or four mixed succulents adds variety without space. Water sparingly — once every 2–3 weeks.
5. Air Plants (Tillandsia)
No soil. No pot. Soak in water for 30 minutes every 10 days. Display them in a small glass orb or sit on a piece of driftwood.
The planter is half the look
The right vessel makes any plant feel intentional. Our handcrafted planters work as decor even when the plant is just a backdrop.
